Reelight prize draw for ALL print subscribers – now closed

Win one of three new Reelight SL 600 dynamo lights–
currently retailing at around £25!

These battery-free fit and forget dynamo lights from Reelight conveniently add an additional rear light to almost any cycle. It fits on a seatpost and the dynamo mounted on the chainstay is driven without contact by passing magnets fitted to the spokes. The efficient flashing LED in a concave mirror gives the near-universal indication that says ‘cyclist ahead’.

For us people in the northern hemisphere, the nights are ‘drawing in’, and up here there appears to be about six hours of light every day. Boo ;-(

Anyway, the perfect time I think, to run this subscription promotion!- anyone who buys a new print subscription or print renewal in the month from now* will be automatically entered into the prize draw.

Wild Things Publishing free prize draw

Hello everyone. The free to enter prize draw has now closed.  Thanks to everyone who put their name ‘in the hat’. I will be randomly drawing three names from the list and will inform the winners by email, soon.

Meantime, if anyone would still like to take advantage of the 30% discount code, it is “Velo Vision” (yes, really)– to use it, just head to www.wildthingspublishing.com and enter it at their checkout. I don’t know how much longer the code will remain valid, but not forever surely.

e-mail delivery problems, yesterday.

Administrative news.  Some emails sent from this site failed to be delivered to users and customers some time between Thu 15 October 2015 10:02:07 BST and Mon, 19 Oct 2015 07:22:19 BST. I have now resent all the ‘lost’ messages manually.  The issue is entirely due to my webserver and not anyone’s personal email address or provider.

While on the matter of email, I would like to bring a known issue to everyone’s attention, which unfortunately affects several users and is beyond my control.  This matter not confined to Velo Vision emails, it is widespread, so worth knowing about:

Unfortunately, unsolicited email to hotmail, gmail, googlemail, live, fastmail or outlook email addresses with embedded URLs are frequently lost, due to overzealous spam filtering (before it even reaches your inbox or your spam folder). I do not know when this happens and it causes the website registration process and some webshop email messages to be undelivered. If you do not receive an email you were expecting, I’m afraid you will need to manually request another by sending a message to me after adding the address ǝʇᴉsqǝʍ@velovision.com* to your address book. I am sorry for this inconvenience. I can also send messages to any other email address if you prefer.

*Yes– it is upside down. Like you, we don’t like spam email either!
