Bike-E CT semi-recumbent (4 replies and 2 comments)
I'm a bit of a lurker on here (I'm on Singletrackworld more), and took my second foray into recumbent/ crank forward bikes last summer with this Bike-E.
Unfortunately I've not spent enough time riding it (I think I've ridden it 3 times) and I'm considering selling to fund my newly found tri habit.
It's black and in very good condition, and the chap I bought it from had it from new. I have the original manual and some other bits and pieces and for a 10+ year old bike it's exceptional (well, even for a 5 year old bike it would be exceptional too!). Has Sram dualdrive and regular cassette, v brakes, adjustable seat (for leg length and seat tension), mudguards. 16" front & 20" rear wheels. Photos available.
I'm in South Cumbria, but am often in Preston, Manchester and less frequently travel down to Hereford, so could potentially deliver. I can fit it in the boot of my estate, but anything smaller (for collection) and it would need to go on the roof (dunno how you'd do that!).
Price I'd like is £295 posted.
Thanks for posting. If you have any photos, I'm sure that would help a little. Here are some instructions on how to do so, or you can mail me them to me and I'll post them here on your behalf.
Meantime, here's a good description of the Bike E : at bicycleman.com

Sorry to be picky, but experience tells me that my long legs are a serious recumbent fitting issue. I've worked out that I need a BikeE CT XL rather than the standard model. Do you happen to know if you have an XL there?
Sorry for the late reply. Not often here and don't seem to get any notifications of emails!
There are pictures on my Flickr account here: https://flic.kr/s/aHsjjgofFT (if it works)
Apparently the XL is 4" longer than the regular one, but I don't know how that translates to rider height. You're welcome to come try it out for size.
Sorry to but-in here, but I see some people may be having trouble with forum alerts. I can see from my admin that Stradageek should have received an alert to the last reply above by Veedubba. Please can Stradageek tell me if you got an alert ?
According to what I see, Veedubba did not have any alerts sent from the forum...
Yup I got the alert thanks Howard, cheers Stradageek
Am I allowed to bump (even though it's still on the front page...)?!
