e-mail delivery problems, yesterday.

Administrative news.  Some emails sent from this site failed to be delivered to users and customers some time between Thu 15 October 2015 10:02:07 BST and Mon, 19 Oct 2015 07:22:19 BST. I have now resent all the ‘lost’ messages manually.  The issue is entirely due to my webserver and not anyone’s personal email address or provider.

While on the matter of email, I would like to bring a known issue to everyone’s attention, which unfortunately affects several users and is beyond my control.  This matter not confined to Velo Vision emails, it is widespread, so worth knowing about:

Unfortunately, unsolicited email to hotmail, gmail, googlemail, live, fastmail or outlook email addresses with embedded URLs are frequently lost, due to overzealous spam filtering (before it even reaches your inbox or your spam folder). I do not know when this happens and it causes the website registration process and some webshop email messages to be undelivered. If you do not receive an email you were expecting, I’m afraid you will need to manually request another by sending a message to me after adding the address ǝʇᴉsqǝʍ@velovision.com* to your address book. I am sorry for this inconvenience. I can also send messages to any other email address if you prefer.

*Yes– it is upside down. Like you, we don’t like spam email either!
