Whilst looking for somemuch or other i came across this.
I think Peter did this for either his magazine orther Open Roads, "Bike Cuture,"

The Power Plus Piranha is a wind-up shaver with two flexible powerful changeable shaving heads.

No more dead batteries during shaving, just wind up the Power Plus Piranha and it will generate energy for the internal battery of the Piranha to shave again.

Besides dynamo charging you can of course also charge by AC-charger.

Experience the new shaving sensation with the Power Plus Piranha.

Ideal for travel.
Power Plus Piranaha Shaver Details:

* Shaving time after 1 minute winding: 1-2 minutes
* Trimmer time after 1 minute winding: 1-0 minutes
* Shaving time fully charged: > 60 minutes
* Trimmer time fully charged: 45 minutes
* Charging time full charged: 8 hours

Yup, it must have been in BCQ >10 years ago. Think I was looking at 'human powered shavers'. I got a flywheel-type one which you 'charged' by pulling a string to spin up the flywheel but it turned out to be absolutely useless - jammed at the least contact with hair :-(. I did read somewhere about a super Swiss clockwork one but never tracked it down.

BTW here's a link for the one you mention, seems to be on sale at various 'green' outlets:

All my razors are human powered - I drag them over my legs, they cut the hair.... ;-)

If I had a baby elephant, it could help me wash the car. If I had a car.

Also often found on www.cyclechat.co.uk

Yo, no need to shave.
One of the requirements of bent riding is a beard/scruffy growth. This matches the beer belly , the sandals and the silly hat.

Are you talking about me?

Beard. Yes
Belly. Certainly.
Sandals. OK you are talking about me.
