What do they cost extra instead of being the same price or less than. I got thes off wiggle to show what i mean. Ergon GP1 Handlebar Grips made out the oil thats what be here once its made. It comes in a box made out if oil.... £21.99 Ergon GP1 Biokork Handlebar Grips made out a greeny cork that grow by itself again. Comes in box made out of secondhand cardboard. £26.39 (off cousre it could be my brain having a good laugh at me again) Re: Greeny things

Hard to tell on any one item although, if everyone bought greener products, prices would no doubt fall as more suppliers followed the market. Why ? I do not think any manufacturer sets out to be un-green, it is just that often green/organic etc costs more, so in a price driven market it is driven out. Only when people are prepared to sacrifice the price-is-king approach can someone manufacturer a more expensive but greener product. (Same with fairtrade, ethical investment etc) Re: Greeny things

Date: March 10, 2011 12:08PM I suspect that as oil prices rise organic veg' will not go up in price too much whereas vegetables grown with oil based fertilizers will show a much bigger rise in price.
