I'm getting rid of my Alfine-11 hub plus fittings, largely because I very rarely use it and am planning to convert the bike it was on back to a fixed gear. I have it advertised elsewhere, so follow this link: https://yacf.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=71211.0 for more info and photos.

The short form is:

- Alfine-11 hub in black, 36h - about 18 months old, less than 400 miles on it. Fitted with a 20T sprocket+chainguide (chainguide is removable)
- Rapidfire shifter (about £60 on its own)
- Cassette joint
- Anti-turn washers (for horizontal dropouts) and cap nuts
- Mavic EX721 rim with Sapim plain-gauge spokes (this wheel was built for strength, not good looks)
- 160mm centrelock disc rotor - easily removable or replaceable.

I'm willing to part with either the entire wheel or the hub plus bits on its own, although in the latter case I'd have to dismantle the wheel first. Either way, the price is the same irrespective of whether or not you want the complete wheel or the hub. Either way, it's a bargain.

Looking for £250, including courier delivery - £240 if you can pick up from York.

FOR SALE: Raptobike Lowracer.

http://www.raptobike.nl/bikes/low-racer.html

The bike was bought from Laid Back Bikes (Edinburgh) in 2012 as one of their ex-demo bikes.
New baby forces sale, as family cycling is now the priority, and the Rapto is not going to get the use to justify keeping it.
Current build is a 60T Chainring paired with a Sturmey Archer CS-RK3 hub; 3 speed internal gear hub combined with an 8/9 speed cassette (11 - 32, 8 speed fitted).
Drive wheel derailleur is SRAM X5 and both shifters are SRAM X5 twist grips.
The total gear inch range is 28" - 145".
Avid BB7 disk brakes front and rear.
20" front (driving) wheel (Schwalbe Kojak), 700C rear (Schwalbe Stelvio).
Hardshell seat with (ventisit?) cover.

Excellent condition with a little wear and tear, some damage to the derailleur where it has contacted the ground, but it is working fine.

The following extras are included:

Rear view mirror.
'Hamsterbags' seat mounted panniers (as new).
Toolkit (attaches to frame under seat).
Spare boom with derailleur mount (as new and uncut).
SRAM X7 front deraillerur (as new).
Various chainrings (as new).
Shimano hub and disc rotor (swapped out when SA hub fitted).

Schlumpf Mountain Drive (Adds extra low gearing via bottom bracket)

Schlumpf Mountain Drive (http://www.schlumpf.ch/hp/schlumpf/faq.getriebe.engl.htm) for sale having done only 200 miles. This was fitted to my Hase Kettwiesel trike along with a Rohloff gearbox - superb combination which I loved (although Rohloff suggest that this could put too much torque through their box. Unless you are super fit and aggressive I doubt that this is a problem for most riders and there seem to be plenty of riders using this combination successfully).

The low gear added around 6 extra low gears to the Rohloff giving a very wide range which is fantastic for grinding up hills with a heavy tour load.
Have just fitted an electric motor to the front wheel and suddenly hills have become a pleasure again, making the Schlumpf somewhat redundant.

Fitting the Schlumpf is fairly straightforward, although you will need a special tool to cut a 45 degree chamfer on the right hand side of the bottom bracket. I bought the drive from http://www.kinetics.org.uk/html/mountain_drive.html who made a nominal charge to borrow the tool. I'm sure they would hire it out for a reasonable sum.
This is a lot less daunting than it sounds and does not prevent the original system being re-fitted to the bike. The drive comes with all of the bits needed to fit it and the special oil recommended by Schlumpf.

Sells new for £500, asking £325.

Hi

I have a Rohloff hub in a spare MTB back wheel in my garage.

I can't remember if it is black or silver.

I am pretty sure that it is the disk brake model.

As far as I know they all appreciate an excentric BB - much neater than the rear gear jockey wheel thingy. I have one in my Silk Road Tout Terrain with such a BB assembly

Could well be persuaded to part with it for appropriate quantities of filthy money.

I shall dig it out and photograph it.

Contact me if interested 'cos I only visit here occasionally.

I'm putting together a new bike, and I'm considering a Rohloff. Please send me a message if you have one for sale. At the minute I'm not 100% sure of which version I'd need, but ideally it'd be disc brake compatible, work with a frame with an eccentric bottom bracket - and be black in colour!

Shimano Alfine 11 SG-S700 hub gear.
*Hub - Alfine SG-S700 in silver (36H), 135mm OLD.
*Rim - Mavic XM317 26 inch (559-17) rim, 36H.
*Spokes - stainless steel.
*Can be used with disc or rim brake - Shimano 'Centerlock' 160mm rotor included.
*All fittings included - cassette joint, fixing/lock ring, anti-turn washers, wheel nuts, 20T sprocket and shifter.
*The anti-turn washers included are for vertical dropouts, but if your bike has rear facing ('track') or horizontal dropouts I've got the appropriate washers you can have.

I bought this wheel recently to use as an all year round commuter but I've since changed jobs and now have to use a folder. I can't really justify keeping the wheel as it as it won't get the use it deserves. It's only had a few miles use so is basically as new: cost including the wheel build £500+.

Photos available on request - let me know if you'd like any more info. £400 ono.
