2012 Events

  • The London Bike Show: 12 - 15 January
    Running alongside the Boat Show, the Active Travel Show and the Outdoors Show, at ExCel, London. A ticket to the bike show is valid for all four shows. See here for details.

  • The Australian Cycling Conference: 16 - 17 January
    With the aim of developing the quality of cycling research, planning and infrastructure. To be held at the Science Exchange, Adelaide. See Australian Cycling Conference for details.

  • Amsterdam Walking and Cycling Fair: 11 - 12 February
    Commercial exhibitors, talks and information on rambling and cycling. See www.fietsenwandelbeurs.nl, or an English translation here.

  • Mechelen Walking and Cycling Fair: 18 - 19 February
    A similar event to the Amsterdam fair, catering for walkers and cyclists. www.fietsenwandelbeursvlaanderen.be or in English here.

  • North American Handmade Bike Show: 2 - 4 March
    "World's Leading Handmade Bike Show", this year in Sacramento, California, USA. Showcasing the work of frame builders from around the world. See website here.

  • Taipei Cycle Show : 7 - 10 March
    Taiwan's cycle industry show: see www.taipeicycle.com.tw.

  • The UK Handmade and Boutique Bicycle Show 2011: 23 - 25 March
    Bespoked Bristol is now in its second year, promoting independent cycle makers and designers. See here for more information.

  • VELOBerlin: 24 - 25 March
    Now in it's second year at the Messe Berlin exhibition centre, this spring show is designed to compliment the Autumn Eurobike show. See VeloBerlin in German, or an English translation here for details.

  • European Hand Made Bicycle Exhibition: 31 March - 1 April
    To be held in Schwäbisch Gmünd, Germany, this event will bring together professional and non-professional builders from around the world. Details can be found here.

  • Paastreffen XIII: 6 - 9 April
    Easter meeting of the Netherlands recumbent community. Keep an eye on Ligfiets.net for details.

  • Easter Tandem Rally: 6 - 9 April
    Avon Tyrrell Activity Centre, New Forest, UK. See www.tandem-club.org.uk for details.

  • The Scottish Bike Show: 13 - 15 April

  • Twoo, Basel: 13 - 15 April

  • Sea Otter Classic: 19 - 22 April

  • SPEZI: 28 - 29 April

  • China Bicycle Fair: 26 - 29 April

  • Isle of Wight Randonnee: To be announced
    Choice of 100km or 55km rides on the Isle of Wight. Free to enter, and no need to pre-register. Details will be found when published here.

  • International Veteran Cycle Rally: 16 - 19 May
    To be held this year in Ghent, Belgium. For details, see here.

  • 23rd International Cycling History Conference: 23 - 26 May

  • Leicester Pedal Powered Festival: 25 - 27 May

  • International Tandem Rally: 2 - 9 June

  • HPV World Championships: 9 - 10 June
    Taking place this year at Fowlmead, Kent, UK. Details and discussion on the BHPC forum

  • CycleVision: 23 - 24 June
    The world's largest recumbent event held each year in the Netherlands. See the Cyclevision Facebook page for the latest information.

  • York Cycle Show: 23 - 24 June
    Thousands of cyclists descend on Velo Vision's home town for a weekend of riding, socialising and bargain hunting. See the CTC Website for details.

  • UK National Bike Week: Dates to be confirmed

  • Velo-City 2012: 26 - 29 June
    This year the international cycle planning conference is hosted by Vancouver, Canada. See www.velo-city2012.com for more information.

  • ISPO Bike: 16 - 19 August
    Previously known as Bike Expo, this show is open to trade and the public in Munich, Germany. Website is here.

  • UK National Tandem Rally: 18 - 25 August

  • Mildenhall Cycling Rally: 25 - 27 August
    Annual event in Suffolk, run by Mildenhall Cycling Club. For details, see here (at time of writing, website not updated).

  • Eurobike: 29 August - 1 September
    The major trade show in Friedrichshafen, Germany. Open to the public on Saturday. Details here.

  • Macride 2011: 9 September
    Charity ride over two distances starting in Stratford-upon-Avon, in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support. For details see here.

  • Interbike: 19 - 21 September
    The major trade show in Las Vegas, USA. www.interbike.com.

  • World Human Powered Speed Challenge, Battle Mountain: To be announced

  • Cycle 2012: 27 - 30th September
