The Mildenhall Rally takes place this year on the 25th-27th August (a Bank Holiday weekend) and it will for the first time this year feature a dedicated 'recumbent zone'. The show usually attracts a good contingent of laid-back machines - in fact when Velo Vision was last there (2002, I think) there were even three recumbent tandems in attendance!

The idea was suggested to the show organisers by Kevin Dunseath of D. Tek HPVs, based in nearby Little Thetford. They are one of the 'Gang of Three' of exhibitors who have been exhibiting at Mildenhall for over 15 years, the others being 'Hard to Find' (mail order interesting components - details here) and what kevin describes as "Mrs Aunty Wainwright's and her famous bargain clothing stand" = this last to absent from the Rally for the first time in 2012.

The resulting space is to be marked up as a recumbent gathering point, and Kevin says "it will be on the trade area of the field next to the D.TEK HPVS display stand and within sight of all the main ring events taking place on Sunday and Monday."

Hope a good few recumbent riders will gather there! It's a great event and worth a journey.
