There has been some hacking taking place on the website for a day or so, and several usernames have been discovered and are being attacked. Once a username is discovered, the hacker repeatedly tries passwords until the account is locked. Individuals can easily unlock their own accounts, but it is a pain.
There is no way to prevent ongoing attacks on known usernames, that I can see out there. I could add a capatcha to the login process. The IP address of the attacks is constantly changing, so I cannot block those.
The best advice is always to keep a strong password and ideally, not reveal your username on the site–a display option in your profile can be changed here: http://www.velovision.com/your-profile/ see: "Display name publicly as..."
